Vern's Salsa    Salsa Verde    Queso   Jalapeno Jellies        Baskets & Crates  

Vern's Pollo Verde

 

INGREDIENTS

 

1-1/2 pound chicken breast   1 tsp. season salt
3/4 cup Vern's Salsa   1 tsp. season pepper
1 tsp. garlic salt   1/4 cup cilantro
2 tbsp. butter    2 cup jalapeno cheese    
2 cups mixed veggies (frozen) 1 cup red and green peppers

 

 

In a dish large enough to hold chicken, pour 1/2 cup Vern's Salsa.  Place chicken on top of salsa, flip a couple of times and marinate at least 6 hours - best if over night.  

In another dish, season chicken with: Seasoned salt, seasoned pepper, garlic salt, butter, and 1/4 cup Vern's Salsa.  Surround chicken with veggies and peppers.  Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes or until veggies are done.  Sprinkle with jalapeno cheese and cilantro then bake until cheese is melted (about 5 minutes) and ENJOY!
