Vern's Queso has modest and meaningful beginnings....

OUR NAME

The underlying thought of our name actually came years before the company was even founded.  We must admit though... it never would have been without ole buddy, Ernest P. Worrell (from Disney's Ernest movies).  

For years, we have affectionately referred to each other as Vern, as in "ya know what I mean Vern?"   So the idea for the naming was conceived like all great ventures...IT JUST MADE SENSE!

OUR BUSINESS

In the past, our friends and family had enjoyed our homemade queso dip and oftentimes requested that we prepare our signature cheese specialty for their social gatherings.  The recipe is homemade and contains ingredients only known to our family that  make the flavor unique and enjoyable. 

The demand for the dip led us to producing on a regular basis.  The simple request "here and there" soon turned into an order for "this social gathering" or "that community event."  The salsas came shortly after the demand started in order to provide a good compliment to the queso.
